Pochettino wants Real Madrid to beat Liverpool

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says he will be cheering on Real Madrid when they face Liverpool in the Champions League final later this month.

Real will be looking for a third straight success and their fourth win in five years when they face Jurgen Klopp’s men in Kiev on May 26.

If Zinedine Zidane’s men are triumphant, and they are the bookies’ favourites, it will be the first time since the tournament was rebranded from the European Cup that a side has triumphed three years in succession.

And Spurs’ Argentinian head coach is willing Real to win against the Premier League side.

“I think Real Madrid are the favourites to win the Champions League final and I want them to win because Liverpool are our rivals in the Premier League,” Pochettino told El Transistor.
