Meddie Kagere to miss Gor Mahia-USM Alger clash
Gor Mahia will have to do without the services of striker Meddie Kagere for their second Group D clash of the CAF Confederations Cup against USM Alger, as confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Rwandese forward received a booking in the club’s first group game against Rayon Sports and coupled by one received in the CAF Champions League preliminary clash against Esperance rules the striker out.
Egyptian referee Amin Mohammed Omar who oversaw the clash at Stade Regional de Kigali booked both Godfrey Walusimbi and Kagere with the continental body asking Gor Mahia through the Kenyan federation to take note of the said incidents and give a reply of any discrepancy within 24hrs after receiving the letter from CAF explaining the same.
