JUVENTUS READY TO BID £44M TO BAG UNITED ATTACKER MARTIAL

Juventus are reportedly prepared to cough up £44million for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial this summer.

The Frenchman looks set to quit Old Trafford this summer after failing to earn a regular starting spot under Jose Mourinho, and Juve look the firm favourites to land him.

The 22-year-old will have a year remaining on his existing contract this summer and is so far refusing to sign an extension, prompting United to consider cashing in on the frontman while they still can.

No formal offers have been made as yet but it is claimed that Juve are prepared to pay £44m to get their man, who has also been linked with a switch to Chelsea and Tottenham in the past.

Martial is being tipped to return to United’s starting line-up in a central striking role against Brighton on Friday night due to an injury to Romelu Lukaku.

The opportunity will give the France star a good chance to showcase himself in his preferred role ahead of a summer move.
